Later, according to several teeth, they named another species of this genus, the<em> Sinopliosaurus fusuiensis<\/em>. But now, <em>S. fusuiensis<\/em> is believed to be a spinosaurid&nbsp;dinosaur. However, as this animal is not officially renamed, we still call it <em>S. fusuiensis<\/em> or <em>\u201cS.\u201d fusuiensis<\/em>. In our reconstruction, the head of Chongzuo the <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em> is narrow and long, similar to that of crocodiles, which shows its habits of swimming and fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Teeth of Chongzuo the <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The teeth of <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em> was the only body structure that had fossil evidence. From the fossils, its teeth had both features of spinosaurines (no serrations) and baryonychines (longitudinal lines), so it was speculated as a member of the&nbsp;Spinosauridae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1401\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/4.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/4-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/4-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/4-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Limbs of Chongzuo the <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We reconstructed the forelimb of <em>\u201cSinopliosaurus\u201d<\/em> smaller to make it look like a swimming animal and differentiate it from the terrestrial predatory dinosaurs, which often used claws on their forelimbs to hunt. The hindlimbs of <em>\u201cSinopliosaurus\u201d<\/em> were similar to those of crocodiles, which demonstrates its ability to swim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Trunk of Chongzuo the <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can infer the shape of the <em>\u201cSinopliosaurus\u201d<\/em> body by looking at spinosaurids in general. <em>\u201cSinopliosaurus\u201d<\/em> had a raised sail-like structure on its back, and the sail might have had strong muscles on both sides, making the trunk look rounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/7-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1410\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/7-1.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/7-1-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/7-1-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/7-1-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Tail of Chongzuo the <em>&#8220;Sinopliosaurus&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We combine the characteristics of Suchomimus and Spinosaurus to make the tail of <em>\u201cSinopliosaurus\u201d<\/em> look flat and broad from the side.
