Its gigantic size made it a slow runner on land. So, it preferred to stay in the water and loved to eat fish and aquatic plants. It had a peculiar look with a flat and wide duck-like mouth, but there was not a single tooth inside. The model Jacques the <em>Deinocheirus<\/em> is set to 11 meters to scale down when we did reconstruction. Its towered back and feathers that covered almost the whole body made it look much bigger than it truly was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1448\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/3.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/3-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/3-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/3-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Head of Jacques the <em>Deinocheirus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jacques the <em>Deinocheirus<\/em> had a slender head. The front of its mouth was like a duck&#8217;s, but its beak curved downward and had zero teeth inside. Its eyes were tiny and were very close to the back of head and the top of the skull. Because it liked to stay in the water, the openings of its nostrils were facing upwards. In our restoration, all these features are well presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1449\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Limbs of Jacques the <em>Deinocheirus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most carnivorous dinosaurs, the forelimbs of <em>Deinocheirus<\/em> had three fingers, but what&#8217;s different is that the three fingers were almost equally long. It might have a pair of large wings on its forelimbs, covered with numerous vane-like feathers. In addition, there were also feathers on the hindlimbs of <em>Deinocheirus<\/em>, but these feathers only covered the upper part of the thigh. Like the sail on <em>Spinosaurus<\/em>&#8216;s back, the structure likely was for display.
