There were no prominent horns but small bumps at the back of their head. Instead of cheeks, they had bony plates on either side of the lower jaw to keep food from falling. All these features were presented in emphasis when we created Isaac the <em>Sauropelta<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Neck of Isaac the<\/strong> <strong><em>Sauropelta<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isaac the <em>Sauropelta<\/em> had large plates growing around its neck, and these plates were arranged in three rows with six pieces in each, some of which had developed into spikes. We restored the appearance of these plates according to the specimens of <em>Sauropelta<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"615\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u7b2c7\u9875-2-1024x615.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1708\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u7b2c7\u9875-2-1024x615.png 1024w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u7b2c7\u9875-2-300x180.png 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u7b2c7\u9875-2-768x461.png 768w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u7b2c7\u9875-2.png 1118w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Limbs of Isaac the<em> Sauropelta<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most ankylosaurs, <em>Sauropelta<\/em> had short forelimbs and long hindlimbs. They had long spines on their shoulders. When we reconstructed the limbs of Isaac, all these characteristics were accurately represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Back of Isaac the <em>Sauropelta<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People have found mummified fossils of <em>Sauropelta<\/em>, so when we created Isaac the<em> Sauropelta<\/em>, we were able to accurately reproduce the position of each plate on its back and show the arrangement of these plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u8725\u7ed3\u9f99-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1707\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u8725\u7ed3\u9f99-1.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u8725\u7ed3\u9f99-1-300x150.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/\u8725\u7ed3\u9f99-1-768x384.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Tail of Isaac the <em>Sauropelta<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tail of <em>Sauropelta<\/em> was very long and flexible, resembling that of stegosaurians, unlike ankylosaurs.
