On Dec 20th, 2023, PNSO released the 1:35 scientific art model of Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em>. The newly launched Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em> from the PNSO Dinosaur Museum series, accompanied by a skull fossil model, was reconstructed by ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang based on the latest research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative Activities in Children\u2019s Space<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PNSO Dinosaur Museum Creative Activities in Children\u2019s Space Solution: Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em> and Spinosauridae Scientific Art Exhibition is part of the \u201cPNSO New Aesthetic Education Project: Join ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang to Creating Amazing Stories on Earth\u201d which is facing the children aging 6 to 12. In this solution, we provide two scientific art activities.
Activity I: <\/strong>PNSO Dinosaur Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em> and Spinosauridae: Explore a Scientific Art Exhibition.
Activity II:<\/strong> PNSO Dinosaur Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em> and Spinosauridae: Join Us in Creating a Scientific Art Exhibition.
Children participating in the activity will learn about designing an exhibition, from planning and preparation to presentation and visiting. They will also participate in the planning, design, and presentation of an exhibition.
We take exhibition, a specialized scientific art activity, as a means to integrate science and art. Children will learn about classification in biology, understand the laws of evolution, and get ideas about the differences between individuals and why the differences exist. They will be able to compare things according to logical rules, have a preliminary sense of creating characters, and eventually use artistic means in an exhibition to share their thoughts.
By taking part in the activities of PNSO Dinosaur Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of the Aymen the Spinosaurus <\/em>and Spinosauridae, children aged 6-12 will develop readiness in science, writing, logic, practical skills, and expression to enhance their capacities in cognition, thinking, and hands-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preface<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the Scientific Art Exhibition of “Aymen the Spinosaurus<\/em> and Spinosauridae.” In this exhibition, we will present the family Spinosauridae, the largest family of carnivorous dinosaurs on Earth, by following Aymen, a wise and courageous Spinosaurus<\/em>. This was an unusual group of carnivorous dinosaurs, distinguished from most others by their large size and unique habits. Which were the members of this family? Why did they take steps onto such a strange way of living? Let us enter the exhibition and reveal these mysteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ichthyovenator<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ichthyovenator<\/em> was the third spinosaurid that researchers found in Asia, the first two being Siamosaurus <\/em>and Sinopliosaurus fusuiensis<\/em>. Ichthyovenator <\/em>had the typical look of spinosaurids, with an elongated head and a mouth full of straight, conical teeth, suitable for piercing small water animals such as fish. It had a notch at the front of its mouth, preventing fish from slipping out. The Ichthyovenator<\/em> had an elevated dorsal sail on its back. The sail was not a full semicircle, but curved downward at the hips, dividing the dorsal sail into two halves. It had stout forelimbs, not-so-slender hindlimbs, and a long, flat, and broad tail. The body anatomy of Ichthyovenator<\/em> was well adapted to fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skull of Spinosaurus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to most carnivorous dinosaurs, Spinosaurus <\/em>had numerous unique features. The head was one of the most distinctive features of Spinosaurus<\/em>. It had an extremely narrow and long head, making it one of the longest skulls of any carnivorous dinosaur species. The high position of its eyes, straight teeth without serrations, and a notch at the junction between the maxilla and premaxilla were characteristics that showed that they had adapted to an aquatic lifestyle. The unique skull anatomy made fishing in the water a lot easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
