Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em> belongs to one of the last genera of stegosaurian dinosaurs. It lived in the Early Cretaceous and witnessed the extinction of its family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em> was not large. According to scientific research on the fossils, its body length was set to 4.5 to 7 meters to scale down when we did reconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bony Plates of Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em> possessed a typical stegosaurian feature – bony plates. Its bony plates were peculiar-shaped, unlike those triangular ones of most stegosaurians. Its bony plates were rectangular, short, and flat, with a slightly protruded tip at the posterior upper top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Limbs of Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The limbs of Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em> were stout. Its forelimbs were extremely short. As it was not tall, it mainly fed on the low plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tail Spikes of Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Xilin the Wuerhosaurus<\/em> had no shoulder spines, its tail was tipped with four long spikes. These tail spikes were quite sharp, making them the defensive weapons against the predators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
