This finding addresses a missing piece of knowledge in Mesozoic mammaliaforms&#8217; coloration and provides critical insights into the ecological adaptations and evolutionary history of early mammals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"634\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640-634x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3141\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640-634x1024.png 634w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640-186x300.png 186w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640-768x1239.png 768w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640-952x1536.png 952w, http:\/\/www.pnso.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/640.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><figcaption>Reconstruction of Pelage Coloration in Five Early Mammals from the Jurassic.
