Creative Activities in Children’s Space

PNSO Marine Museum Creative Activities in Children’s Space Solution: Ron the Mosasaurus and the Family Mosasauridae Scientific Art Exhibition is part of the “PNSO New Aesthetic Education Project: Join ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang to Creating Amazing Stories on Earth” which is facing to the children aging 6 to 12. In this solution, we provide two scientific art activities.
Activity I: PNSO Marine Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of Ron the Mosasaurus and the Family Mosasauridae: Explore a Scientific Art Exhibition.
Activity II: PNSO Marine Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of Ron the Mosasaurus and the Family Mosasauridae: Join Us in Creating a Scientific Art Exhibition.
Children participating in the activity will learn about designing an exhibition, from planning and preparation to presentation and visiting. They will also participate in the planning, design, and presentation of an exhibition.
We take exhibition, a specialized scientific art activity, as a means to integrate science and art. Children will learn about classification in biology, understand the laws of evolution, and get ideas about the differences between individuals and why the differences exist. They will be able to compare things according to logical rules, have a preliminary sense of creating characters, and eventually use artistic means in an exhibition to share their thoughts.
By taking part in the activities of PNSO Marine Museum Scientific Art Exhibition of the Ron the Mosasaurus and the Family Mosasauridae, children aged 6-12 will develop readiness in science, writing, logic, practical skills, and expression to enhance their capacities in cognition, thinking, and hands-on.

Explore the exhibition and take a first look how ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang created Ron the Mosasaurus.

Preface

Welcome to “PNSO Marine Museum: Scientific Art Exhibition of Ron the Mosasaurus and the Family Mosasauridae.” In the exhibition, you will get to know the most mysterious animals that have ever appeared in the ocean, the family Mosasauridae, and gain an in-depth understanding of how they, in a very short period, evolved from a small lizard to Mosasaurus, the top predator in the ocean. In this exhibition, we use scientific art to trace Ron the Mosasaurus, the king of the family Mosasauridea. Together, we will swim in the ancient ocean and explore the mysteries of evolution.

Ron the Mosasaurus

Mosasaurus represented the highest peak in the evolution of the family Mosasauridae. With their large size and advanced body structure, they became the most powerful marine predators ever lived. This Mosasaurus, named Ron, was swimming in the deep sea. Its body was perfectly streamlined, born to live in the sea. Its huge tail gave it unimaginable strength and speed and was its most useful tool to conquer all opponents in the ocean. It moved like a warship, always ready for the coming battle.

The Head of Mosasaurus

Ron the Mosasaurus had a huge and triangular head, which could effectively reduce the water drag. Its eyes and nostrils were large, meaning that a good sense of sight and smell, well adapted to living in the deep sea. Ron’s mouth was full of huge and sharp conical teeth. These teeth could easily tear apart the flesh of prey and crush hard shells or bones. Ron the Mosasaurus had a rich diet, because it could hunt down almost any prey it liked.
