How did ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang create Yiran the Lufengosaurus?

The Size of Yiran the Lufengosaurus

According to scientific research on the fossils, the model of Yiran the Lufengosaurus was set to 5 to 9 meters to scale down when we did reconstruction.

The Head of Yiran the Lufengosaurus

The head of Yiran the Lufengosaurus was relatively small, roughly shaped like a rectangle. Its mouth was full of tiny teeth, which were capable of chewing.

The Neck of Yiran the Lufengosaurus

Yiran the Lufengosaurus had a long, robust, and strong neck. This long neck enlarged its foraging range and visual field, allowing it to observe its surroundings.

The Limbs of Yiran the Lufengosaurus

Yiran the Lufengosaurus usually walked on its two hindlimbs. Its forelimbs had sharp claws that could defend it against predators. These claws were also exceptionally helpful when foraging food.

Its hindlimbs had five toes, one of which had degenerated quite tiny and was wrapped inside skin, making it appear to only have four toes. These four toes were relatively developed. When it walked, all four toes stepped on the ground.
