On June 16, 2023, the Dolphin Books-PNSO Chinese Dinosaurs Overseas Promotion Campaign & Copyright Cooperation Signing Ceremony was held at the 29th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF). Vice President Liu Dawei of China International Communications Group (CICG), President Wang Lei of Dolphin Books, the science artist Zhao Chuang, and the science fairy tale writer Yang Yang, attended the event.
At the event, PNSO Chinese Dinosaurs Science Comics – the first set of “Chinese Dinosaurs” themed book jointly created by Dolphin Books and PNSO – was officially launched. Vice President Liu Dawei of CICG, President Wang Lei of Dolphin Books, the book author and science artist Zhao Chuang, and the science fairy tale writer Yang Yang unveiled the new book.
“Knowing the Earth’s history signifies exploring the future of humanity. More than 100 million years ago, the land that nurtured the Chinese civilization was home to a rich variety of species and ecology,” said President Wang Lei of Dolphin Books. “Telling ‘the story of Chinese dinosaurs’ is thus a useful complement to ‘telling China’s stories.’ We hope that the Dolphin Books-PNSO Chinese Dinosaurs overseas promotion campaign will help more people know Chinese dinosaurs and China’s stories.
Chief Editor Zhao Yating of PNSO, and Branding Director Wei Wei of Dolphin Books introduced the PNSO’s sci-art projects plan – Stories on Earth, and the Chinese Dinosaurs overseas promotion campaign, respectively. Ms. Laura, General Manager of Swiss publishing house Nuinui, shared the story of her affinity with PNSO. Since the launch of the Chinese Dinosaurs overseas promotion campaign, Hong Kong Junyi Culture Group has acquired the rights to publish and distribute hundreds of PNSO’s works in Hong Kong through Dolphin Books. At the event, President Wang Lei of Dolphin Books and CEO Niu Lina of Junyi Culture Group reached a strategic agreement on copyright cooperation.
Currently, Dolphin Books has published or plans to publish book series such as PNSO Chinese Dinosaurs Science Comics, knowledge puzzles, encyclopedias of artists, lift-the-flap books, art albums, and sci-art classes. Together with PNSO, Dolphin Books will create more and better products. Meanwhile, Dolphin Books stays committed to working with partners at home and abroad and spreads the “Chinese Dinosaurs” IP to the world, so that more readers will indulge in the charm of Chinese Dinosaurs.
