Who is Logan the Nanotyrannus?
Among all tyrannosaurs, one was unique: it coexisted with Tyrannosaurus rex but was only half the size. Its brain structure differed greatly from that of T. rex, and it lacked the banana-shaped teeth, instead having only flat, blade-like ones. Scientists believed it occupied a different ecological niche than T. rex and named it Nanotyrannus.

The Size of Logan the Nanotyrannus
According to scientific research on the fossils, the body length of Logan the Nanotyrannus was set at 5 meters to scale down when we did the reconstruction.

The Head of Logan the Nanotyrannus
Compared to T. rex, Nanotyrannus featured a different head shape. While T. rex‘s mouth was exceptionally broad, and, in particular, its U-shaped lower jaw delivered most of its mighty bite force, Nanotyrannus had a narrower mouth, despite its relatively wide posterior face. In reconstructing Logan the Nanotyrannus, we presented the distinctiveness of its head.

The Forelimbs of Logan the Nanotyrannus
One notable feature of T. rex is its short forelimbs. The adult T. rex could grow up to 12 meters long, but its forelimbs were only as long as an adult human’s arm, which looked somewhat ridiculous in comparison to such an enormous body. However, Nanotyrannus was different. Although its forelimbs were also short, they were proportionally longer than those of T. rex. You can easily tell this by looking at the forelimbs of Logan the Nanotyrannus.

The Hind Limbs of Logan the Nanotyrannus
Nanotyrannus, similar to T. rex, had relatively slender hind limbs. However, T. rex‘s hind limbs were not only long but also robust, enabling it to be a powerful hunter. In contrast, Nanotyrannus‘s hind limbs were less muscular, which made it a faster, more agile predator. Although the body size did not give Logan the Nanotyrannus any advantage among carnivorous dinosaurs, it remained a swift and effective hunter capable of easily getting what it wanted.
