How did ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang create Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex?
The Size of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex was reconstructed based on the skeleton of “Sue”. According to research on the specimen, we set Cameron’s body length at 12 meters to scale it down.

The Head of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
Cameron has a very thick head. Its lower jaw is U-shaped, giving it a huge mouth with an extremely powerful bite, enabling it to take down any prey it wants. It could tear off their flesh easily and even crush their bones.

The Teeth of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
The teeth of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex are as thick and sturdy as large bananas. They are not only long and thick but also have fine serrations on the edges, making them highly dangerous.

The Lips of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
Some scholars believe that carnivorous dinosaurs had oral structures similar to those of squamates (scaled reptiles like lizards) in having lips. If Tyrannosaurus rex had lips, the overly long teeth seen in many specimens were caused by pressure during fossilization.

The Forelimbs of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
T.rex‘s forelimbs are very short, roughly the same length as an adult human’s arm. Some researchers believe these forelimbs might have been used to restrain prey, but the mainstream view is that such short forelimbs barely serve any function.

The Hind Limbs of Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex
The hind limbs of T. rex are so strong that they can fully support its massive body without the help of its tail. Cameron the Tyrannosaurus rex has sturdy body muscles in its thighs, shins, and ankles.
