Who is Sede the Ankylosaurus?

Sede the Ankylosaurus was a master of defense. With the defensive armor armed to the eyelids, it resisted countless predators who wanted to turn it into prey. Sede the Ankylosaurus was also a master of attack. With its super-large tail club, it often gave predators, including Tyrannosaurus rex, a little color. In the world of herbivorous dinosaurs, Sede the Ankylosaurus was undoubtedly the king. Although it looked a little clumsy and its movements were not agile enough, these minor shortcomings were not worth mentioning compared with its powerful adaptations.

Ankylosaurus was a large-sized herbivorous dinosaur. Based on the scientific research on the fossils, the model Sede the Ankylosaurus was set to 9 meters to scale down when we did the reconstruction, which was relatively large among ankylosaurs.

The unique feature of Sede the Ankylosaurus was the plates covering its body, which we emphasized in the restoration process. At the beginning of discovery, people only found large plate fossils, so it was believed that the body of Ankylosaurus was covered with large plates, just like pangolins. But later, scale fossils of nodosaurid dinosaurs were discovered, which showed a large structure composed of tiny scales above their pelvis. Now, with the emergence of more and more fossil evidence, people have a clearer understanding of the armor structure of Ankylosaurus. When we restored Sede the Ankylosaurus, we adopted relatively new research results and accurately produced the appearance of the Ankylosaurus.

The Tail Club of Sede the Ankylosaurus

The plates were the defensive tool of Sede the Ankylosaurus, and the tail club was its offensive weapon. Sede the Ankylosaurus had a very long tail because the tendons on the caudal vertebrae have been ossified, so its tail cannot be bent. When we restore its tail, we present this rigid state. At the end of its tail, there was a bulging structure, which was its tail club. The tail club of Sede the Ankylosaurus weighed about 50 kilograms, which could attack the predators lethally. We focused on the characteristics of the tail club during the restoration, highlighting the sense of might.

The Limbs of Sede the Ankylosaurus

The limbs of Sede the Ankylosaurus were short and stout, covered with many plates. When restoring, we not only paid attention to the accuracy of the structure of the limbs but also presented the details of the scales as much as possible in the limited space, making the image of the Sede the Ankylosaurus more real and vivid.
