Who is Judith the Spiclypeus?


Judith the Spiclypeus is a ceratopsian dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous. Ceratopsians are a group of dinosaurs known for their diverse head frills and sharp horns.


How did ZHAO Chuang and YANG Yang create Judith the Spiclypeus?


The Size of Judith the Spiclypeus

According to scientific research on the fossils, the body length of Judith the Spiclypeus was set to 5 meters to scale down when we did reconstruction.

The Head of Judith the Spiclypeus

The head of Judith the Spiclypeus was shaped in an inverted triangle, which was featured by a pair of long, laterally projecting brow horns.

Judith the Spiclypeus had a sizeable U-shaped concave atop the center of its frill, and the spikes surrounding the concave curved inward.

The Body of Judith the Spiclypeus

Compared with other ceratopsians, Judith the Spiclypeus had a quite compact body with a highly raised back, huge pelvis, stout limbs and a short tail.
