Who is Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus?
Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus was a marine reptile, belonging to a group called protorosaurs. It lived during the Triassic period, when Guizhou, in China, was a vast ocean teeming with diverse marine reptiles.

According to scientific research on the fossils, the body length of Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus was set to 2.7 meters to scale down when we did the reconstruction.

The Neck of Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus
Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus possessed an elongated neck measuring 1.7 meters, nearly as tall as some human adults—pretty astonishing, right? Its massive body remained hidden behind this natural cover, significantly lowering the chances of being detected.

The Body of Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus
Xiaochong the Dinocephalosaurus, looked similar to Tanystropheus, both having extremely long necks and short trunks. The limbs of Dinocephalosaurus have evolved into paddle-like flippers that propelled it through the water.
